Case report on Stevens - Johnson syndrome

Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) is a hypersensitivity reaction that affects the skin and mucous membranes. In this case report patient had drug induced after taking treatment for bilateral leg edema, was hospitalized later diagnosed as SJS. Upon evaluation, increased serum creatinine, decreased albumin, urinary output almost an uric edema which are signs of acute kidney injury (AKI), common complication SJS/TEN. The treated with fluid replacement, wound dressing, Incision drainage abscess in left thigh leg, Necrotic spatches were removed by debridement. Further needed split graft but due to her age general condition, surgery deferred. She discharged follow up advice.
